Tickets & refunds
Last updated 19 October 2026
If a gig is cancelled, you get your money back. Here’s how it works for each kind of purchase.
Tickets from other sellers
Most gigs on Gigmates link out to the venue or a ticket seller (for example Moshtix, Oztix, Ticketek or Humanitix). Those tickets are sold by them, under their refund policy, so contact the seller for refunds or changes.
Gigmates doesn’t sell tickets
Gigmates is a gig guide. The Tickets button on each gig links to the venue or ticket seller, and they set the price, fees and refund terms.
Paid artist plans
Headliner and Main Stage are paid monthly or yearly and can be cancelled any time. You keep the features until the end of the period you’ve paid for. We don’t refund part-used periods, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires it or we’ve made a mistake (such as a double charge).
Bookings and venue hire
Artist bookings: Gigmates charges no booking fee. You pay the act directly, as agreed, so payment and refunds for a booking are between you and the act.
Venue and studio hire: Gigmates charges no fee and takes no commission. Hirers pay the venue or studio directly; the money doesn’t pass through Gigmates, so payment, deposits and refunds for a hire are between the hirer and the venue.
Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy limits those rights. To ask for a refund, contact us with your email address and the gig or plan.
